Effective May 31, 2022, Google will be disabling a feature in Gmail accounts that may affect your ability to scan-to-email on your multi-function devices. The feature, referred to as “less secure apps”, is being removed from all Gmail accounts in the interest of increasing security. This action is being taken directly by Google, and is not the result of any Pollock Company decisions. If your device is setup to send email from a Gmail account, we recommend that you take the following action:
- Contact your IT department or vendor and ask them to setup an email account for your device to use (i.e. copier@youremaildomain.com)
- If Pollock Company is your IT provider, you do not need to take any action at this time.
- Pollock Company will be available to assist with re-configuring your device to use the new email address. Please submit a request via our Service Request Form.
- Please provide the details of the new email account, provided by your IT department or vendor, in your request.
